Thats what I thought!

http://www.cascadeloop.com/index.php...wsletter_id=90

Ill wait and let you guys scout it out for me . Looks like they opened a little sooner than expected, and they "sweeped" the hwy for debris and what not.

Honestly, if I'm going to ride that far, I want to make sure the road is in the best possible condition.

On the other hand, it should be really scenic with all the snow that hasnt melted. That ride is awsome either way!

You guys ride safe!

Yea we only went up to Diablo last weekend; that was no problem at all.

We'll see how it goes eastward of that.

yup, definitely not going. There is still a shitload of snow on the Avy lanes and with the warm temps and rain, Avy danger will be high.

If you set a date (summer), we can plan it out early on and do the full loop. Justin and Mike did it last year, and they said the second half was the better part.

I would even be down to spend the night somewhere out east, and make it a full weekend trip....i've never done that.

That sounds like a bad ass idea to me. Last time I went to Winthrop we stayed the night at Deception pass then made the ride up over the pass. Just getting to Winthrop in a day from the east side is one hell of a ride.

Yah the second half of the ride (after Winthrop going South through Chelan) was awesome. Total ride took us about 10 hours, about 420 miles total). Best part of the ride by far is 97 from Wenatchee through Blewett Pass. Up to the pass its two lanes of fresh pavement with high speed sweepers one after another. Pure bliss.

We should def do that ride, but wait until like Sept so its not 100 degrees on the other side.

100 degree's isn't so bad so long as you keep moving. Dump water down the leathers and on your head and add a camel back to make things extra cool.

My only request would be set it up on a date that is NOT a big holiday. Trying to ride this road on Memorial Day weekend or some other big holiday would suck.

Orly? And here I thought you would be out of commission until you got another bike.
